What to do in Bayonne?
1. Visit the Biarritz Historical Museum

The Biarritz museum is famous throughout France, and much more, for holding treasures that the Biarrots, passionate and concerned about preserving their heritage and legacy have chosen to display in these places. A little preview? After climbing the 248 steps (bring water, it's better), discover the cosmopolitan influences that permeate the city through paintings, precious objects, video projections, photos… All these things tell the story of Biarritz.
Good to know: Located on Rue Broquedis at Saint Andrew's church, guided tours are required to better understand each exhibited object. It is open Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 12:30pm and from 2pm to 6:30pm.
2. Indulge in a workshop with Little Anana

Good to know: On Prince Impérial street, Little Anana is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 5:30pm. It's a fun activity for young and old that allows you to share a sweet moment as a family.
3. Explore Sainte-Marie Cathedral

Description: It is imposing and is one of Bayonne's jewels. It is also located at the gates of the Basque Country, so it's one of the cultural attractions to visit first. It happens to be particularly rich in architecture: medieval decorations, still robust fortifications, monuments resembling castles… We can say it, it deserves its place in UNESCO's World Heritage, right? Proud and majestic, its sovereignty commands respect. Many mysteries and many legends revolve around it, we leave you to discover them during your visit!
Good to know: At 15 Rue des Prébendes, Sainte-Marie Cathedral is open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6:30pm, and Sunday from 8am to 7pm.
4. Bayonne Botanical Garden, between walk and discovery

Good to know: The Bayonne Botanical Garden near Tarrides, is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm. In this place, you will feel prosperous!
5. Stroll at the traditional market

Description: Bayonne is known for being a pleasant and very welcoming city. The neighborhoods come alive and merchants are happy to display their finest finds and their most beautiful products. In the heart of the city, take your little shopping basket (you'll need it), and walk the streets under a timid and pleasant sun. You'll find about twenty vendors specializing in food: like cheese, charcuterie, regional products, coffee… It's a nice moment where you can fill your belly that we always appreciate as a family. You can eat and take your little digestive walk at the same time while exploring each stand.
Good to know:The market is open every day early in the morning around 6-7am and ends in mid-afternoon around 2:30pm. Good tasting and good walk!
6. Spend the day at Dunes Beach

Description: Honestly, who doesn't like going to the beach and sunbathing while sipping a delicious cocktail on a deck chair? Dunes Beach is one of the most beautiful in Bayonne. Its fine sand tickles your feet and the water, neither too hot nor too cold, envelops you in a layer of serenity and tranquility. The view is also magnificent, especially during sunset! You'll have plenty of time to take a dip in the water, play racquet sports, and indulge in various water activities. The beach has a reputation for being spacious and giving you the impression of being alone in the world.
Good to know: It's a beach that has a reputation for being less crowded than the other beaches in the city, due to the little path that's a bit tiring, but not too complicated either, that leads to it. A little courage, the reward is beautiful!
