1. The EDHEC Sailing Race

Description: the EDHEC Sailing Race in La Rochelle brings together more than 3000 students from around the world. Representing about 200 crews ready to compete on coastal and tactical courses in the Pertuis Rochelais. The EDHEC sailing race is the first European student sporting event. Locals and visitors can gather at Port des Minimes to not miss any of the competitions.
Good to know: Skippers are not the only ones participating in the race. Many challenges are offered to students, who come to challenge themselves in La Rochelle. E-Sport challenges, or beach sports like beach-rugby, beach-soccer or even a triathlon. Will you be on the starting line?
2. The Kite and Wind Festival

Description: Here's another coastal event not to be missed to return to childhood! Kite flyers from France and elsewhere gather every year on Châtelaillon beach to indulge in their common passion. Visitors come by the hundreds to marvel at the floating giants. Colorful and majestic, their fairy-like or slightly quirky creations invade the Châtelaillon sky. For families, creation workshops and flying sessions for young and old will be available.
3. The Night Sail

Description: Every year in La Rochelle takes place the Grand Pavois international nautical show, near Les Minimes. A sort of car show, displaying the latest innovations from the nautical world. On this occasion, the "Night Sail" show is organized every year in La Rochelle's outer harbor for visitors. This large-scale show allows you to admire a parade of old ships combined with light displays and an incredible fireworks show.
Good to know: Boat lovers will take the lead to attend the Grand Pavois in La Rochelle. The world's largest floating nautical show! This gathering of marine world professionals is a great opportunity to admire boats from all horizons.
