The Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie in Paris is a unique and surprising place nestled in the heart of a huge landscaped park. With friends or family, this place is ideal for trying extraordinary experiences and discovering science in a fun way! Planetarium, children's city, temporary and permanent exhibitions, conferences, activities, workshops... There's a lot to do at the Cité des sciences in Paris to learn more about the subject while having fun.

The Planetarium

The projection system installed at the planetarium of the Cité des sciences in Paris is in high definition with laser projection in 8K. The video projectors are computer-assisted (around twenty), to give you an image of 8,000 pixels. A system 8 times more precise than the HD screens of current televisions. You'll really feel like you're there!

The activities

Activities and shows for all ages presented by: engineers, artists, or scientific mediators. Some activities are for observation while others require audience participation... Games, experiments, discoveries...

The Biolab is a place that allows exchange and experimentation on subjects such as biology and the environment. This is what we call participatory science by bringing the public to think, observe, participate in collective projects...

The children's city

The children's city is divided into 2 parts, in order to adapt children's activities according to their interests.

The Children's City 2-7 years

5 themes are offered: I discover myself, I know how to do, I find my way, I experiment, All together (experience with other children). Pictograms guide accompanying adults to play, encourage, or observe the behavior of little ones.

The Children's City 5-12 years

A set of games and activities specially designed for children of this age group distributed according to 6 themes: The body, Communicate, The TV Studio, Water games, The garden and The factory. Presenting a TV show, blending into video special effects, producing energy, observing animals, plants, seasons... are all missions that children aged 5 to 12 can undertake in this space dedicated to them. Games that don't require adult supervision, children have fun taking initiative by themselves and transform into real little scientists!

The baby city lab

Only by reservation from 10 to 12 h and without reservation in the afternoon, subject to availability, the Baby City Lab is exclusively reserved for babies from birth to under 2 years old accompanied by an adult. Activities promoting the cognitive and psychomotor development of babies are presented to families, as well as workshops in the form of tales and theatrical readings.
