Description: The "Catedral de Santa María de la Sede" is nothing other than the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, so needless to say it's well worth spending a few euros to visit it thoroughly. Among its most important sites to discover, you must of course mention "Christopher Columbus's tomb", whose remains transferred to Seville in 1898 are found in a large bronze coffin; but also the Royal Chapel, in honor of King Ferdinand III of Castile, who once built the city of Seville, in 1248. You can certainly learn more about the city's history, but also admire the various paintings by Spanish painters whose brushwork has remained famous throughout the world to this day: these include "Goya", "Murillo", and "Luis de Vargas", not forgetting "Pedro de Campaña". You'll thus have the vague impression of being both in a cathedral and in a museum with a thousand and one splendors. Located near "Avenue de la Constitucion", it's open Monday to Saturday from 10:45 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday from 2:30 PM to 7 PM.

Your visit will take you to the ground floor rooms, of which "the Praetorium hall" is visitors' favorite: which opens onto a small cozy and intimate garden, whose particularity of being endowed with a carved wood coffered ceiling gives it a certain originality that sets it apart from other gardens we may have visited in life.
