Just off to your left, you'll find the entrance to a huge cultural center. It's but an urban oasis at the heart of one of the most bustling neighborhoods in Buenos Aires! This was formerly the site of a covered market, the Mercado Modelo. When they tore it down, it opened up a lot of space, and investors quickly swooped in. Instead of another market, they built this amazing cultural and commercial center. The colonnade and portico are all that's left of the old market. Inside, there are two theaters, an amphitheater patio, a convention center, and some 15 bars, craft breweries and restaurants with open-air terraces. This cultural complex is known for its high-quality, tasteful, and diverse performances. There's even a museum dedicated to the Beatles! Apparently, it has the world's biggest collection of Fab Four memorabilia, assembled by a die-hard Argentinian Beatles fan named Rodolfo Vasquez.
