The green zone on your right is called the Cœur de Maine esplanade. It was laid out in 2019, and modified in 2024 to become what it is today. It is a 3,000m² area dedicated to the relaxation and leisure activities of Angevins, who enjoy to come and sit here on fine summer days. The river just besides it provides a very pleasant setting, between the city centre and the Doutre district, which can be seen from the other side of the Maine. Many activities such as yoga, relaxation, sport and outdoor games take place here every year. If the square is open at the time of your visit, don't hesitate to sit by the water for a break and enjoy the friendly atmosphere of Angers!
