Hôtel du Tricot
The large red gate to your right opens onto a beautiful private mansion known as the Hôtel du Tricot. Arguably the most remarkable of the historic mansions still standing in the city, it was built toward the end of the 16th century by the lords of Guérande, who gave it a prestigious appearance. Designed in an L-shape, with architecture typical of the region, it’s a fine example of the elegant residences of the time. Today, it has been restored and converted into a guesthouse, so the only way to see its interior is to spend the night here as a guest.
