You’re walking along the Promenade de la Mer, which stretches behind you toward the Port of Menton-Garavan and ahead toward the Old Port. Completely redesigned in 2019, this walkway runs alongside Sablettes Beach and is one of the most enjoyable places for a stroll in Menton. On your right, you’ll see restaurants tucked beneath the town’s colourful, traditional houses, in front of you, the view opens out onto the sea and the hills beyond—some of which are already across the border in Italy. Whether you’re here for a sunny afternoon on the sand, a taste of local cuisine, or an evening drink as the sun goes down, Sablettes Beach is just as magical by day as it is by night.
