Agen enjoys an Aquitaine oceanic climate, with hot, sunny summers nearing 28°C and mild winters fluctuating between 2°C and 10°C. The ideal period runs from May to September to enjoy the banks of the Garonne and the famous canal bridge (pont-canal). The month of September is particularly festive with the Fêtes d'Agen (Pruneau Show), while spring is perfect for exploring the historic center and tasting local specialties before the summer heat peaks.
