Poitiers enjoys a modified oceanic climate, offering pleasant and relatively warm summers with averages around 26°C and cool winters ranging between 2°C and 9°C. The most favorable periods to visit the medieval city and the nearby Futuroscope run from May to September, months during which the sunshine is generous enough to stroll through the city center’s narrow streets or enjoy the parks along the banks of the Clain. The month of June is particularly pleasant for its long daylight hours, while the late season in September allows you to discover the city's rich Romanesque heritage under a soft light and in a more peaceful atmosphere after the summer bustle.
