The climate is Mediterranean, with mild winters of around 5 to 15°C and hot summers, often between 28 and 35°C, or even more during heat waves; the best times to visit are generally from April to June and then from September to October, when temperatures are still very pleasant without reaching the summer peaks, allowing you to fully enjoy the towns, villages and coastline in more comfortable conditions than in the middle of summer.
Our tours are designed as loops so you can start from the location closest to you — the navigation will adjust automatically. If you’re nearby, we suggest starting at the Cité du Design.
Zénith Car Park (free) : Rue Scheurer Kestner, 42000 Saint-Étienne To visit the Manufacture – Plaine Achille district, the easiest option is to park for free at the Zénith car park, right next to the Cité du Design. It provides direct access to the district and its pedestrian areas. Additional spaces are available on Rue Javelin Pagnon or in the shared car parks around François Mitterrand Park, with nearly 1,700 spaces within walking distance. If you’re arriving by train, Châteaucreux station is nearby — simply take the tram to the “Cité du Design” stop.
