A sanctuary for any shopaholic, Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre is an absolutely gigantic shopping mall, built on the site of the former Dandelion Market, where U2 held their first concerts. This shopping gallery opened in 1988, but only 4 out of the 78 shops were open on its first day! This disappointing late start was soon outshone by its impressive architecture, blending glass and wrought iron. Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre has retained its original appearance, and now boasts about 100 different retail outlets, offering an extensive shopping experience. Inside, people are constantly coming, going, and shopping. So, prepare to make good use of your credit card if you do decide to step into this much-loved Dublin hotspot.
