Via Roma
From here, you’ve got a perfect vantage point to take in the scale of Via Roma. Ahead of you lies an endless stretch of arcades lined with big-name fashion stores. Behind you is Piazza San Carlo, with Via Roma continuing between the churches and stretching all the way to the station. The street was laid out in the 17th century and was originally known as Contrada Nuova, connecting the main castle square to the newly built Porta Nuova railway station. This is Turin’s version of the Champs-Élysées in Paris! This central avenue is the go-to spot for locals and tourists when it comes to shopping, a true national sport in Italy!
