Funchal, and Madeira in general, enjoy mild weather all year round. Winters usually hover around 20°C during the day, while summers stay comfortably warm, averaging about 25°C. This means you can visit Funchal any time of the year. However, the sea temperature is cooler in winter, around 18°C, compared to a warmer 23°C in summer. So, if you’re planning to go diving, summer is the best time. Still, the most recommended season to visit Madeira is spring, when the island’s stunning flowering landscapes are in full bloom.
No need to worry about where to begin! Our tours are designed as a loop, so you can jump in wherever you are. The navigation system and audio-guide will automatically adjust to your location. However, if you happen to be nearby, we do have a preferred starting point: in front of the Cathedral.
