From the Caleta Sunset Viewpoint, you’re looking at one of Cádiz’s most iconic panoramas. Below lies La Caleta beach, a small golden bay framed by the two old forts that once guarded the entrance to the city: to the right, the star-shaped Castillo de Santa Catalina, and straight ahead the Castillo de San Sebastián at the end of a long causeway stretching out into the sea. On the sand, the fishermen’s colourful boats rest at low tide, giving La Caleta its unmistakable charm. Turn your head slightly and you’ll spot the rounded pavilions of the Balneario de La Palma, the former bathhouse that has become one of the defining symbols of Cádiz’s seafront. And if you’re here at sunset, the whole Atlantic glows, offering one of the city’s most famous sights. It’s the perfect moment to capture a beautiful memory.
