No visit to San Sebastian is complete without a stroll along the unmissable Paseo Nuevo, the “New Walk”, created in 1916. This path runs along the sea and at the foot of Mount Urgull, which has shaped the Basque landscape for thousands of years. As you walk along, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views over La Concha Bay, and a peaceful break from the bustle of the city. It takes around 40 minutes to walk the entire route. We’ll only cover part of it here, but feel free to keep going if you’d like to complete the full loop! Just be careful, the waves tend to crash violently and rise well above the promenade if the sea is rough. You might end up getting soaked!
