Yes, Stockholm is Sweden’s capital, but many people don’t realise that it’s also Sweden’s largest archipelago, surrounded by 30,000 islands and islets. Spread across this maritime maze are six main districts, some of which sit in the middle of the water and can only be reached by bridges. Look at where you're standing now, and you’ll see what we mean. From this walkway, you can enjoy a wide, sweeping view that captures nearly all of the city’s faces, or at least three of its most important ones. Behind you is the green Skeppsholmen Island, with the unmistakable silhouette of the Af Chapman ship docked proudly at its shore. On the right lies Gamla Stan, the city’s historic heart, home to the Royal Palace and St. Nicholas Cathedral. And now, you’re walking toward the commercial and cultural district of Norrmalm. A word of advice—zoom in, strike a pose if you like, but most of all, capture the moment!
