Souk Naif

Dubai is home to a large number of souks, especially in the Deira neighborhood where you are right now, as well as in Bur Dubai on the other side of the creek. Here, you’ll likely find some great deals, whether you’re looking for traditional products, branded clothing—though watch out for counterfeits—perfume, electronics, or household goods. In Naif Souk, you’ll also find a nice selection of abayas, the traditional Islamic robes worn by women to cover their entire body, which are also commonly worn in Western countries having large Muslim communities. Mandatory in several Gulf countries and in Saudi Arabia, abayas now come in a wide array of colors and patterns, having become a true fashion statement for many Muslim women. Don’t hesitate to step inside the souk to see a few, along with all the other traditional goods sold in this authentic market! Plus, you’ll probably find a few souvenirs here to take back home with you.
