View of The Shard
From this viewpoint on the banks of the Thames, you can admire London's tallest skyscraper known as The Shard. This is because if you look at the top of the tower, you'll notice that it takes the form of small asymmetrical spikes, reminiscent of a broken glass bottle. A landmark monument in London, The Shard was designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano, who also designed Centre Pompidou in Paris and Cité Internationale in Lyon. Standing 310 metres high, it's impossible to miss! It's also the ideal place to enjoy a superb view of Tower Bridge, Tower of London and River Thames from the top of its 72nd floor...
