Brooklyn Bridge Park covers no less than 34 hectares, stretching along the East River from Atlantic Avenue all the way to the Manhattan Bridge. In addition to offering a wide range of activities on its various piers, including sports fields, merry-go-rounds and even beaches, it also offers stunning panoramic views of the New York skyline, dominated by the skyscrapers of the Financial District. Visitors here have plenty of space to have a picnic or simply relax, all with superb views and the gentle lapping of the East River. This park is much more recent than other parks in the city, and particularly in Manhattan; part of it opened in 2010, gradually followed by the others. Brooklynites love to come here to stroll along the waterfront, whether with friends, family, or a lover!
