Stunning, bewildering, awe-inspiring… This strikingly unusual structure is none other than the station connecting Manhattan's Financial District with New Jersey. Resembling a bird in flight, this futuristic station, called Oculus, was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. It was completed in 2016 and cost nearly 4 billion dollars. The station was built to replace the one that stood here a few years ago, which was completely destroyed in the 9/11 attacks. Both its exterior and interior are truly breathtaking. A real architectural feat not to be missed!
