Take a look at the tower on your left. Standing 222 meters tall and 47 storeys high, the Times Square Tower was built in 2004 to house a large number of offices in Midtown Manhattan. Designed by architect David Childs, who built the iconic One World Trade Center, it is so wide it occupies an entire city block between Broadway and 7th Avenue. Constructed with a glass curtain wall, it's highly resistant to wind, earthquakes, and explosions. Pretty handy, right?
