Colmar enjoys a unique microclimate—one of the driest in France due to the protection of the Vosges Mountains—with warm summers averaging around 26°C and cold winters where the mercury often drops to around 0°C. The most favorable times to visit "Little Venice" are the summer season, from June to September, ideal for traveling the wine route under a generous sun, as well as the month of December, which is absolutely magical thanks to its Christmas markets, renowned as some of the most beautiful in Europe. Spring, particularly around Easter, also offers a special charm with its artisanal decorations and blooming gardens in the newfound springtime mildness.
