Senate Fountain

This beautiful fountain was designed in 1929. Installed in the Senate Park in 1932, it is a granite monolith with multiple water jets, creating an elegant display. The construction was supervised by the Capitol’s Architect, David Lynn. Many materials were used such as pink granite from Minnesota for the main structure, green granite from Minnesota for the basin, and Mount Airy granite for its pillars. A beautiful addition to the park and the Capitol’s surroundings!
