Within the framework of the great Porto Maravilha renovation project, this viaduct was demolished, freeing the view and the space, and this vast pedestrian promenade was laid out in its place, planted and open onto the water. Now, you can stroll freely along the bay, enjoy the views over the water, over the town of Niterói opposite and over the surrounding reliefs, and reach on foot the main sites of the historic centre, from the Museum of Tomorrow to the Praça XV. The promenade becomes lively with joggers, cyclists, walkers and cultural events.
