Petřín Tower

In 1889, the Eiffel Tower was unveiled at the World’s Fair in Paris. Around 300 Czechs, all members of the same hiking club, attended the event and immediately fell in love with the monument, so they decided to create a replica in their own country. 59 meters tall, Petřín Tower was built for the General Land Centennial Exhibition in Prague in 1891.
