Dubai Opera, cultural showcase of downtown

The Dubai audio-guided tour stops you before Dubai Opera, a building of impressive architecture. Able to hold up to two thousand spectators, it offers many cultural performances, from theatre to opera, by way of musicals and concerts.

A modular hall opened in 2016

Opened in 2016, just a few metres from the Burj Khalifa, the opera house fits into the modern, avant-garde setting of downtown. Its modular hall allows all kinds of events to be held: the tiers can be partly removed to create a vast reception, conference or exhibition space. Its shape evokes that of a dhow, the traditional boat of the region.
