A fresco from 1584

In the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, it was common to carve bas-reliefs inspired by the Bible on one's house. This fresco, dated 1584, depicts Adam and Eve driven from Paradise and threatening each other with clubs. Popular Nicois legend sees in it an allusion to the passionate domestic quarrels of the inhabitants.
