Advice
I'd like to take a quick break from your visit to mention all the other points of interest that couldn't be included in the itinerary. If you wish to extend your visit to Angers, I suggest you take a trip to the magnificent Terra Botanica park, Europe's first theme park entirely dedicated to plants. The English-style Plant Garden, located near the city centre, was laid out in 1905. Once you're done with plants, don't forget to visit the Jean-Lurçat and Contemporary Tapestry Museum in the Doutre district, which showcases textile art through a range of tapestries, each more beautiful than the last. For those wishing to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, the Maine lake is around 5km away on the right bank of the river, offering supervised swimming and water sports of all kinds. A little further from there, in Saint-Georges-sur-Loire, you can step back in time to explore the charming Serrant castle, a true Renaissance gem! This is the perfect way to start exploring the impressive Loire Valley castles, some of which are only a few miles away from Angers. Last but not least, there's nothing like visiting the Anjou vineyards, where you can enjoy some exceptional walks and discover the region's iconic wines. Well, with all this, you've got plenty of things to do, if you feel like staying in the area for a while.
