Here’s a quick break in your visit to tell you about some other points of interest that couldn’t be included in the main tour. To end your day in Antibes, there’s nothing better than heading to one of the town’s beaches for a bit of sunbathing and a swim. The closest to the old town is Gravette Beach.
Just a few minutes away by car, you’ll find Ponteil and Salis beaches, and if you’re after something a little more off the beaten path, take the road out to Cap d’Antibes, where you’ll discover stunning coves and small idyllic beaches with turquoise waters. You can also go for the large, well-equipped beaches in the seaside resort of Juan-les-Pins. If you don’t feel like swimming, I still recommend exploring Cap d’Antibes by following the coastal trail known as the Tirepoil Path.
It leads you along the sea through breathtaking landscapes, past beaches and hidden coves that are truly worth the trip—and along the way, you’ll come across a rich historical heritage too. If you’ve got some extra time, you can hop on a boat and head to the Lérins Islands. These two islands, Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, form a protected natural area and biological reserve, perfect for peaceful walks among pine trees, eucalyptus groves, and beautiful secluded beaches.
Back in Antibes, the Postcard Museum is a unique place in Europe where you’ll find over 3,000 postcards from all around the world and from different periods. If you’re looking for something fun and refreshing, head to Aquasplash, a large water park that’s a hit with families. If you decide to stay in the area a bit longer, you could visit the charming hilltop village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence.
It features well-preserved fortifications, a medieval keep, a Romanesque church, and plenty of art galleries. From Antibes, you’re only about thirty minutes away from Cannes, the famous city of cinema. Or if you’d rather go in the other direction, don’t miss the chance to explore Nice, the capital of the French Riviera.
While you’re there, take the time to discover the village of Èze, it’s one of the most beautiful in the region. You’re also just about thirty kilometers from Grasse, which is absolutely worth a visit if you’ve got some time. Finally, a little further away but still very manageable by car or train, Monaco is a great destination for a day or two during your stay.
So, if you decide to stick around a bit longer, there’s definitely no shortage of things to do in the region!
