Also in the Bassins à flot district, go discover the Docks of Light, which is an absolutely extraordinary place. This vestige of World War II located in the Bordeaux submarine base has been completely redesigned. It is now France's largest digital art centre and hosts some utterly fascinating immersive light exhibitions! A one-of-a-kind artistic experience! The trendy Darwin venue is the hottest alternative venue on the Right Bank! These former military barracks, rehabilitated into a multicultural space, now carry you in a world of tomorrow that feels good! Situated on an enchanting hilltop, this medieval town amidst the vineyards tells a 2000-year-old tale of love between man and wine. Surrounded by untamed landscapes, Bordeaux is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, moorland forests and sand dunes, the city is the ideal starting point for an in-depth discovery of the region. If you have a few days to explore the area, you can start by heading to the small town of Blaye and its citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
