You’re currently walking along Rue Saint-Honoré. One of the longest streets in Paris, stretching from Les Halles all the way to the Madeleine district. You’re probably wondering why I’m currently talking about this. Well, it’s because it also passes through the legendary Place Vendôme. A true symbol of luxury with its remarkable architecture, the square is surrounded by former private mansions, many of which now house some of the world’s most prestigious luxury brands. Among them is the Hôtel d’Évreux, here since 1708. Emily was lucky enough to get inside this remarkable building as she was invited to attend a conference for influencers. At the time, she had no less than 20,000 followers on her Instagram account, created when she first arrived in Paris, and quite ironically called Emily in Paris. In this episode, we get to catch a glimpse of the elegant interior . Even though the series focuses on both Emily’s work and daily life, it certainly doesn’t limit itself to the 5th or 2nd arrondissement. Plenty of other iconic parisian spots make an appearance throughout the show. Take the Saint-Martin Canal, where Emily walks along with Gabriel, Camille, and Thomas during an improvised double date. Or the Atelier des Lumières, hosting a Van Gogh exhibition, the very place where Emily apologises to Gabriel for kissing him while he was in a relationship with Camille. There’s also the Pont Alexandre III, where the perfume ad for De l’Heure was filmed; a campaign that Emily won’t hesitate to call sexist. And then Rue de l’Abreuvoir, one of the most photogenic streets in Montmartre, where she will set up a bed in the middle of the street for a bedding ad. All these locations, both historic and symbolic, beautifully showcase everything the City of Light has to offer! Of course, there are plenty more landmarks to discover, but we will leave that for another day as there are too many...you’ll need several tours to visit them all!
