For fans of art, history, or architecture, the Carnolès Palace is a must-see. Once the residence of the Grimaldi princes of Monaco, it now houses the Museum of Fine Arts. If you’re staying a bit longer, be sure to walk the Sentier Le Corbusier around Cap Martin. This coastal trail winds past elegant villas, wild little coves, and lush Mediterranean greenery. While you're there, don’t miss the stunning medieval village of Roquebrune and its impressive castle. Want to explore even further? Monaco is just 30 minutes away by car and never fails to impress. A few minutes past that, you’ll reach the hilltop village of Èze, one of the most beautiful in the region. And if you’ve got a bit more time, Nice is under 45 minutes away. It’s the capital of the French Riviera, and its old town is packed with architectural gems—so much so that it’s now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Just outside Nice, you’ll find Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, known for its mix of pebble and sandy beaches and a vast pine forest hiding some of the Riviera’s most luxurious villas. Since you’re right next to the border, why not hop over into Italy? There’s plenty to discover just a short drive away, starting with the stunning Nervia Valley and its medieval villages. Less than 30 kilometres from Menton are Dolceacqua, Apricale, and Rocchetta Nervina—three beautifully preserved gems of Italy’s heritage. So if you’re planning to stay a little longer in the region, one thing’s for sure—you won’t be short on things to do!
