A walkway between port and beach

This platform links the Old Port to the beach of Arinella, less than three kilometres away. Built at the foot of the citadel ramparts, it runs along the sea and offers a superb view over the waves and the surrounding mountains. Its Corsican name evokes the act of following the sea, as close as possible to the waves.

The Aldilonda is ideal for a walk, a jog or simply to breathe the sea air. The sunrises there are breathtaking, which makes it a favourite spot for photography lovers. Suspended between the ramparts and the waves, it offers an unusual viewpoint over the citadel and the Bastia coast.

The Aldilonda skirts the citadel of Bastia, linking the Old Port to the beach of Arinella. The promenade is freely accessible at all hours and on the level. It is best discovered at sunrise; in strong wind or heavy sea, caution is advised.
