A showcase for Impressionism

Located a few metres from the marina, the MuMa boasts a modern architecture of glass and steel that lets in natural light, ideally suited to Impressionist painting, born of the observation of light. The collection pays tribute to Monet, who drew inspiration from the port of Le Havre for Impression, Sunrise, and to Eugene Boudin, a Norman painter and precursor of the movement.

The museum presents an exceptional collection of Impressionist and post-Impressionist paintings, one of the most important outside Paris. Beyond Monet and Boudin, you admire works by Renoir, Pissarro, Sisley and Dufy, a native of Le Havre.
