From a brushy slope to a garden

Before its development, the area was only a steep and brushy slope. It all started with the creation of a vast promenade in 1849, on two hectares of land transformed by one of the best landscape architects of Paris. After twelve years of work, the garden opened and today presents remarkable plant specimens, from here and elsewhere, planted from its creation in the nineteenth century. It recently became the first public theme park in the world to use augmented reality, thanks to a free mobile application.

The garden invites you to recharge among its trees, its lawns and its varied species, at the edge of the Tarn. Thanks to its augmented reality application, one also sets off to discover Montauban celebrities, enchanted characters and animals. It is a place of relaxation and entertainment, ideal for a green break in the heart of the city.

The Botanical Garden is at the edge of the Tarn, in the centre of Montauban. A public space, it is generally freely accessible during the day, the hours possibly varying according to the season. The augmented reality application is free. Access is on the level.
