Bread Oven
Here on Rue Torte, you’ll find a little slice of Aubagne’s history. In 1993, a 19th-century stone bread oven was uncovered right here. In Provence, bread has always been more than just food. It’s part of a cherished tradition, especially the beloved fougasse, a true regional symbol. That’s why this historic oven has been carefully preserved. You can visit it just inside the building to your left and get a glimpse into Aubagne’s past. Inside, you’ll see the remains of the original oven and learn more about the town’s heritage.
