This is Angers' small marina! As you stroll along the banks of River Maine, you'll have a lovely view of the cathedral and castle in front of you. This is where the barges and boats that dock in Angers are moored. You can even hop on a boat and set off on a beautiful river cruise. The Loire by Bike route also passes here, and there are plenty of cafés where you can enjoy a drink with a view over the Maine. If you don't want to stop here, keep going and at the top of the next set of steps you'll find a brand new building called ‘Le Quai’. This is a large theatre which opened in 2007 and can accommodate 1,400 spectators for its dance, music and theatre performances. It has a panoramic restaurant on the 5th floor, where you can have a drink and a bite to eat with a magnificent view of the city. An unusual rooftop not to be missed in Angers!
