The Mont-de-Marsan audio-guided tour presents you with the Despiau-Wlérick museum, the only museum in France entirely devoted to figurative sculpture, set in the medieval framework of the Lacataye keep.

Opened in 1968, the museum owes its name to two renowned Mont-de-Marsan sculptors, Charles Despiau and Robert Wlérick, figures of early twentieth-century sculpture. Its collections gather some three hundred works, which set masters and artists of the same generation in dialogue. The museum is currently undergoing a campaign of works that is to continue until 2027; during this period, temporary exhibitions and the garden remain accessible, making it possible to continue discovering the richness of this collection unique in France.
