The building was constructed in 1760 to house the Chamber of Commerce and make it easier for merchants to trade. While the exterior façade looks just like the other buildings in the city, the interior is definitely worth a visit. Don't hesitate to take a short detour inside, as the courtyard is freely accessible! The mansion has two wings connected by a graceful gallery supported by eight columns. Its refined neo-classical style makes it one of the city's most beautiful buildings. The interior façade, visible from the courtyard, features anchors, trophies, ships' sterns and other ornaments that recall the vital role played by maritime trade in the city's development.
