Welcome to the charming Gordaine square, one of the liveliest and most picturesque spots in Bourges, featuring half-timbered houses, crowded terraces and stores of all kinds! Back in the 15th century, this is where you'd find butcher's and fishmonger's shops, as well as one of the city's entrance gates, at a time when the city was surrounded by walls. Today, Gordaine square is a living postcard of medieval Bourges. Here, you can see what buildings typically looked like in Bourges, back in the Middle Ages. This square is right at the heart of the historic center and it's one of the most photographed sites in the city. Here’s your chance to refuel and relax! Soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a drink or a meal at one of the many cafés and restaurants.
