Named after the man who made it possible, the Henri-Lecoq Museum has stood in the heart of Clermont-Ferrand since 1873. A true museum of science, it is housed in a former private mansion that once belonged to botanist and pharmacist Henri Lecoq. Inside, it holds a wide variety of collections — from botany to geology, including paleontology, zoology, and even scientific and technical instruments. The museum offers visitors a genuine opportunity to explore and learn, raising awareness about the natural environment as well as the history of science and technology. There’s something here for everyone — young and old alike!
