A park born from a gift in 1905
The park came into being in 1905 thanks to the generous gift of the patron Théodore Jouvet, who wished to offer the people of Valence a place to stroll. A true public botanical garden, it gathers many plant species over its seven hectares, near the Rhône. More than a century later, it remains the city's most beloved green lung.
