A link between upper and lower town

Created between 1819 and 1823, Place Louis XII links the royal château, which overlooks it, to the old districts of the lower town. At its centre stands the Louis XII fountain, a true jewel of the heritage of Blois and one of the finest fountains of the city. The square bears the name of this king who made Blois the capital of the kingdom and a high place of the French Renaissance.
