From old baths to theatre

In the 19th century, the place housed the former public baths of Beaune, where people came to wash but also to relax and take the air. The structure, built in 1813 to plans by Alphonse Forest, has the look of a small theatre adorned with a colonnade. Over time, the place became an open-air cultural space, recently renovated by the town to restore all its nobility.

The Theatre de Verdure, with its stage ringed by greenery and its colonnade, hosts concerts, festivals and events, including a jazz festival and summer shows. It is a haven of nature and culture, quiet, where the coolness of the Bouzaize park accompanies the performances. Outside events, the place invites strolling and rest.
