Place Saint-Sulpice

Here we are on Place Saint-Sulpice. This one has nothing to do with Emily in Paris, but there’s no harm in taking a small pause to admire the beautiful church in front of you. Under the same name as the square, it counts as one of the biggest in the capital. This church was chosen to temporarily replace Notre-Dame Cathedral of Paris during renovations after the fire. It was built in the 17th century, though another 12th century church stood here before. An architectural masterpiece, the Church of Saint-Sulpice displays two 30 meter-high towers. They differ from each other, giving the facade a very special look. If it’s open right now, I advise you to take a look inside to discover its impressive interior decor. You’ll quickly understand why it’s a Historical Monument!
