In addition to being a great way of showcasing the ramparts, the garden you are about to walk through has become an essential part of any visit to Vannes. In the 1950s, the mayor of the time had the idea of turning the old moat into a garden, fully aware of the tourist appeal and potential of the ramparts. Every year, 30,000 flowers are planted along the paths, creating a beautiful multicoloured backdrop for Vannes! If you come in spring, you'll even be lucky enough to see the Japanese cherry trees blossoming! We recommend climbing the ramparts to get a good overview.
