Saint-Bernard Park

Hyères is full of breathtaking views over the city and the sea, and the Saint-Bernard Park is one of the best places to enjoy them. Nestled at the foot of Villa Noailles, this botanical garden was designed between 1925 and 1935, during the same period as the villa itself. Both were the vision of the Vicomte de Noailles, a wealthy patron of the arts with a passion for modernism, who commissioned the villa as a national center for contemporary art. In the park, you’ll find rare Mediterranean species as well as exotic plants, making it a renowned and fascinating destination for plant lovers. It’s been officially recognised as a Remarkable Garden, a title it shares with the nearby Sainte-Claire Park, to which it is connected by Rue Saint-Pierre, a charming street that runs alongside the ruins of the old castle. Laid out in a series of terraces, Saint-Bernard Park is the perfect place for a stroll, or a moment of calm during your tour of Hyères.
