Saint-Rémi Church

At the end of the 19th century, plans were made to build Saint-Rémi Church, replacing an older 16th-century parish church that had been demolished in 1850. Designed by architect Paul Delefortrie in a Neo-Gothic style, this beautiful church suffered damage during bombing raids in the First World War. Its stained-glass windows were particularly affected but were quickly restored by architect Pierre Ansart, who also created new designs for them. Built across three levels, the church lets radiant natural light flood inside, highlighting the stunning chapels, tombs, and organ of this historic monument.
