The statue Lorelai is the work of the Italian artist Livio Benedetti, who died in 2013. In 2017, an open-air exhibition presented his sculptures in the city, and the union between Lorelai and her setting, at the edge of the fountain, made a sensation. Charmed, the city decided to acquire the work and install it permanently on the edge of the fountain of Boulevard Saint-Léger.
